KPK vs Punjab


Political unrest in our country is never-ending. The top two conflicting parties, the PML-N and the PTI keep their noses in each other’s business. The political hype created by a blend of multiple factors has clutched the entire Pakistani nation tight. Every party has girded up its loins and stepped into the battlefield. And so, It’s really hard to predict yet who would come out as a victor. Talking about the battle between PML-N and PTI, both the parties are ruling two important provinces of the state. Here’s an overlook on the battle between KPK vs Punjab.

Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) did a survey of all the provinces’ development in the last two years. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) ties with Punjab for First Position in Quality of Governance at 68%; Sindh Ranks Second at 59% and Baluchistan Comes in Last at 58%; PILDAT Releases Provincial Score Cards on Quality of Governance for 2014-2015.

PILDAT governance report consists of 25 governance assessment parameters and five pillars of governance which includes law and order, economic situation, social indicators, service delivery and administrative effectiveness.
Survey report further stated that KPK province leads in law and order, economic management and service delivery of governance pillars while Punjab province leads in administrative effectiveness and social indicator.
Punjab and KPK government’s performances have improved in all 28 parameters. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government remained at the clear front-runner with positive evaluation on 18 out of 28 Governance Indicators. Here KPK government is followed by the Government of Punjab which has been positively evaluated on 8 out of 28 Governance Indicators.
Both the Chief Ministers, Shahbaz Sharif and Pervez Khattak have their own ways to tackle situations and are handling them well equally.
